In a spectacular display of ski jumping prowess, Slovenian athlete Nika Prevc has once again proven why she's a dominant force in women's winter sports, securing her third consecutive Two Nights Tour championship in a thrilling finale.

Prevc's journey to victory was anything but straightforward. After an initial first-round jump of 105 meters that placed her 17th, she dramatically rebounded with a stunning 128.5-meter jump in the second round, narrowly finishing 11.6 points behind Canadian jumper Abigail Strate.

The Two Nights Tour, recently rebranded from its original Silvester Tour, showcased the immense talent of women's ski jumping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberstdorf. While Prevc didn't win the final event, her consistent performance across both locations secured her overall championship.

Strate seized her maiden World Cup victory with impressive jumps of 136 meters and 116 meters, with China's Ping Zeng claiming second place and Germany's Selina Freitag rounding out the podium. The event also marked a poignant moment for local hero Katharina Schmid, who competed in her final home event before retirement.

An emotional Schmid, speaking through tears to broadcaster ZDF, reflected on her remarkable career. As one of ski jumping's most decorated athletes with seven world titles and two Olympic silver medals, she leaves an indelible mark on the sport.
