Florida State University's football program is set to turbocharge its offensive strategy with a strategic internal promotion that signals serious commitment to player development.

Head Coach Mike Norvell has announced Tim Harris Jr. will transition from wide receivers coach to co-offensive coordinator, a move that recognizes his exceptional impact on the team's offensive performance last season.

Harris Jr., who joined FSU's staff in 2025, quickly distinguished himself by transforming the wide receivers group into a powerhouse unit. Under his guidance, the Seminoles led the ACC in total offense, rushing offense, third-down conversions, and yards per completion - ranking in the top 15 nationally across all four categories.

The promotion highlights Harris Jr.'s remarkable work with standout receiver Duce Robinson, who became a first-team All-ACC selection and Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. Robinson's stunning season included 56 catches for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns, marking the ninth-highest single-season receiving yards total in program history.

Norvell praised Harris Jr.'s developmental skills, noting his ability to cultivate exceptional talent. "Tim made an immediate impact on our wide receivers last season, helping push our offense to a different level," the coach explained. "His ability to teach and develop was showcased in the many playmakers we had among our wide receivers group."

Beyond Robinson, Harris Jr. has also been instrumental in developing other emerging talents like Micahi Danzy and Lawayne McCoy. Danzy impressed with 27 receptions, 571 receiving yards, and even contributed 227 rushing yards, while McCoy added 27 catches and 396 yards of his own.
